MSC World Asia Ship Guide
Explore what´s New, Comparisons, Deck Plans, MSC Yacht Club on MSC World Asia
MSC World Asia is the third ship in MSC Cruises’ World Class and is scheduled to begin sailing in the Mediterranean on 4 December 2026.
Built at Chantiers de l’Atlantique in Saint-Nazaire, France, she continues the World Class concept introduced with MSC World Europa and developed further with MSC World America, while adding new dining, entertainment, family areas and redesigned spaces of her own.
In this complete MSC World Asia guide, we look beyond the headline features to explain how the ship is laid out, what is genuinely new, how the cabins and MSC Yacht Club compare, where to eat and drink, and how World Asia differs from MSC World Europa and MSC World America.
Pre-launch guide: We have not yet sailed MSC World Asia. We board the ship on 11 December 2026, and this guide will then be updated with our own first-hand experience, photos, video and review.
MSC World Asia at a glance
MSC World Asia is approximately 333 metres long and 47 metres wide, with 22 decks and a published technical capacity of up to 6,764 guests. She is LNG-powered and is due to become MSC Cruises’ third World Class ship when she enters passenger service in December 2026.
What is MSC World Asia?
MSC World Asia is the third ship in MSC Cruises’ World Class, following MSC World Europa in 2022 and MSC World America in 2025. Rather than introducing an entirely new class of ship, World Asia represents the next evolution of the same World Class platform, with familiar architecture and concepts combined with new venues, redesigned spaces and features created specifically for this ship.
The World Class story began with MSC World Europa, which introduced the distinctive open-air World Promenade, the Y-shaped stern and a new generation of MSC’s largest ships. MSC World America followed with changes aimed particularly at the North American market, including the introduction of seven onboard districts and The Harbour family area. MSC World Asia develops the concept again, this time with new dining, entertainment and family experiences alongside subtle design influences inspired by Asia.
Despite the name, MSC World Asia will not initially sail in Asia. Her first season begins in the Mediterranean in December 2026, with seven-night cruises from ports including Barcelona, Marseille, Genoa, Civitavecchia, Messina and Valletta. MSC says the “World” ship names are intended to reflect continents and the international nature of the cruise line rather than necessarily indicate where each ship will operate.
From World Europa to World Asia
The three ships share the same World Class foundation, but MSC has continued to change the concept with each new vessel.
MSC World Europa established the original World Class design in 2022.
MSC World America arrived in 2025 with further changes and concepts developed for the US market.
MSC World Asia enters service in 2026 as the third ship, combining established World Class features with another round of new and redesigned spaces.
Later in this guide, we compare all three ships in detail and separate what is new on World Asia, what has been redesigned, and what has been carried over from World Europa or World America.
MSC World Asia construction timeline
Rexhell Cruise sails MSC World Asia – 11 December 2026
We’ll board MSC World Asia on 11 December 2026, just one week after her first passenger sailing.
During the cruise, we’ll document the ship in detail and add our own first-hand experience to this guide, including the layout, cabins, dining, entertainment, MSC Yacht Club and the areas that are genuinely new compared with MSC World Europa and MSC World America.
Our full MSC World Asia ship tour and first-hand review will follow after the cruise.

MSC World Asia vs MSC World Europa and World America
MSC World Asia shares its basic design with the first two World Class ships, but many venues and outdoor areas have changed. Use our comparison finder below to select the World Class ship you already know and see what you gain, what has been replaced and what remains familiar on MSC World Asia.
What’s new on MSC World Asia?
MSC World Asia shares the same basic World Class DNA as MSC World Europa and MSC World America, so this is not a completely new ship concept. What makes her interesting is how MSC has continued to develop that platform.
MSC says World Asia will introduce 13 brand-new experiences and reimagined spaces compared with MSC World Europa. Some are genuinely new to the fleet, while others take ideas introduced on earlier World Class ships and redesign them for World Asia.
For anyone who already knows the World Class ships, that distinction is important. Here are the changes we think matter most.

Pan-Asian Street Food: genuinely new to MSC World Asia
One of the clearest genuinely new additions is Pan-Asian Street Food, a dining concept created specifically for MSC World Asia.
Rather than being a single restaurant, MSC describes it as three experiences in one: a speciality restaurant, a Southeast Asian-inspired bar and lounge, and a complimentary takeaway window serving street-food-style bites during the day. The food draws inspiration from places including Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and southern China.
That mix is what makes the concept particularly interesting. Guests will not necessarily have to book a full speciality dinner to experience it; part of the venue is designed around quick, complimentary food as well.
For us, this is exactly the kind of change that matters more than simply adding another restaurant name to the ship.

The Harbour comes to Europe, but it isn’t completely new
The Harbour is one area where the difference between new and redesigned really matters.
The outdoor family district first appeared aboard MSC World America. On MSC World Asia it returns with a new Asia-inspired design and becomes the first Harbour offered on an MSC ship sailing in Europe.
The main attractions remain substantial: Cliffhanger, the over-water swing; a two-level ropes course; The Harbour Aquapark; Harbour Bar & Bites; and a new Play Deck designed as a more relaxed family space.
So if you have already sailed MSC World America, don't expect an entirely new concept here. The more interesting question will be how the redesigned Harbour fits into World Asia and whether the layout works differently in practice.

The Spiral @ Tree of Life
The dry slide is already a recognisable part of the World Class concept, but World Asia gives it a new identity.
The Spiral @ Tree of Life is built around a large illuminated structure inspired partly by the Supertrees of Singapore. MSC's latest published information describes the slide as 81.3 metres (266 feet) long, descending across 12 decks before connecting with the World Promenade.
The Tree of Life itself rises almost 10 metres above the deck, weighs close to eight tonnes and incorporates more than 150 metres of LED lighting.
The attraction may be familiar in principle, but visually this should become one of the features that makes World Asia immediately recognisable from her sister ships.

Redesigned pools: Manila Bay and Coral Cove
MSC World Asia will have seven pools and 13 hot tubs, but two of its main pool areas are receiving particular attention.
The outdoor Manila Bay Pool is being redesigned with more shade, flexible seating and updated bar facilities, while Coral Cove provides an indoor, all-weather alternative beneath a retractable glass roof.
Coral Cove is particularly interesting for World Asia's Mediterranean deployment.
An attractive indoor pool can matter considerably more during a December sailing than it might on a ship designed primarily around warm-weather cruising.
That is something we'll be able to judge properly when we sail in December.

The Clubhouse adds a new indoor family space
The Clubhouse is a completely new entertainment venue for MSC World Asia.
MSC describes it as a retro-inspired social and family space combining classic games with a LEGO Family Zone, bumper cars, basketball and roller skating. The venue is designed to change character throughout the day, moving from family activities towards more social entertainment in the evening.
That may sound like another collection of attractions, but the location is potentially more important than the individual activities. World Class ships already offer plenty for families; The Clubhouse adds another substantial indoor place to spend time rather than putting most high-energy activities around outdoor decks.

New or redesigned? A quick overview
More changes are coming
MSC has also announced several new bar concepts for World Asia, including Sky Box Bar, The Terraces Bar & Lounge, Coral Cove Bar, Pan Asian Bar and Clubhouse & Soda Bar. We'll cover those properly in the bar and lounge section rather than turning this part of the guide into a list of every venue.
The MSC Yacht Club also receives a genuinely new accommodation option: the Royal Duplex Suite, a 53-square-metre, two-level suite with two separate bedrooms, space for up to six guests and an 11-square-metre balcony with a private whirlpool. We'll look at that in detail in our Yacht Club section. a
What we want to find out onboard
On paper, MSC World Asia looks less like a completely new generation and more like the latest refinement of World Class.
That may actually be more interesting.
When we board MSC World Asia on 11 December 2026, we want to see whether these changes genuinely improve how the ship works: whether The Harbour feels better integrated, how useful The Clubhouse is, whether Coral Cove works well during a winter Mediterranean cruise, and whether the new dining concepts add something that World Europa and World America were missing.
We'll update this guide with our own photos and first-hand impressions after we sail.
New food & casual bites on MSC World Asia
MSC World Asia introduces several new ways to eat around the ship, from a completely new Pan-Asian dining concept to complimentary grab-and-go food around the World Promenade and The Harbour.
What is particularly interesting is that MSC is adding more food options outside the traditional buffet and main restaurants. Some are full dining venues, while others are designed for guests who simply want to pick something up and continue exploring the ship.
Pan-Asian Street Food
Pan-Asian Street Food is one of the biggest completely new dining concepts on MSC World Asia. Rather than being a single restaurant, the venue combines three different experiences: a Southeast Asian speciality restaurant, a dedicated bar and lounge, and a complimentary grab-and-go counter.
The concept takes inspiration from street-food cultures across Indonesia, Singapore, South China, Thailand and Vietnam, with a more relaxed atmosphere, live cooking and dishes designed around bold Southeast Asian flavours.
Confirmed food examples include:
-
Singapore-style prawns
-
Shiitake mushroom fried rice
-
Wok-fired specialities
The restaurant will offer both indoor seating and a more casual rooftop terrace, making this much more than simply another speciality restaurant along the World Promenade.
Pan-Asian Street Bar
The bar forms a separate part of the Pan-Asian concept and can be enjoyed without sitting down for the full restaurant experience.
Drinks continue the Southeast Asian theme, with signature cocktails and Asian beers alongside alcohol-free options.
Confirmed examples include:
-
Jasmine Mojito
-
Rose & Strawberry Daiquiri
-
Matcha Colada
-
Tsingtao beer
-
Chang beer
-
Bintang beer
-
Bubble tea
-
Fresh smoothies
-
Fruit juices
MSC has also created Oceanic Asian, a beer brewed onboard specifically for the concept.
For us, this makes the venue particularly interesting because Pan-Asian Street Food is designed to work at different times of day — from food and drinks to simply stopping by for a cocktail or bubble tea.
Pan Asian On The Go
The third part of the concept is Pan Asian On The Go, a complimentary grab-and-go counter serving street-food-style bites during the day.
Unlike the main speciality restaurant, this part of the venue is included and allows guests to try some of the concept without booking a full meal.
MSC has already confirmed examples including:
-
Crispy seafood balls
-
Fluffy bao buns
-
Other rotating street-food bites
This is one of the additions we are particularly interested in trying. On a ship the size of MSC World Asia, having more complimentary food available around the promenade should make it easier to grab something quickly without heading back to the buffet.
The Harbour Bar & Bites
The Harbour Bar & Bites is another complimentary casual-food option, located inside The Harbour family district on the upper decks.
The concept was first introduced on MSC World America and continues on MSC World Asia, offering food and drinks that can be picked up without leaving the outdoor family area.
MSC has not yet published the complete World Asia menu, so we would not assume it will be identical to World America. However, the World America version gives an indication of the style, with items such as:
-
Empanadas
-
Burritos
-
Corn dogs
-
Wraps
-
Cookies
-
Brownies
We will confirm the final World Asia selection once onboard.
Promenade Bites
Promenade Bites also returns from MSC World America and adds another quick-service option directly on the World Promenade.
The concept is built around freshly prepared, fairground-inspired street food that can be eaten while exploring the ship rather than sitting down for a full meal.
On MSC World America, examples have included:
-
Hot dogs
-
Chili dogs
-
Street corn
-
Corn on the cob
-
Cotton candy
MSC has not yet confirmed that the World Asia menu will be exactly the same, so these should be treated as examples of the concept rather than a final World Asia menu.
Eataly
MSC World Asia will also feature Eataly, replacing Chef’s Garden Kitchen from MSC World Europa.
Eataly was introduced to the World Class concept aboard MSC World America and now continues on World Asia, adding another major speciality-dining option to Deck 8.
For guests familiar with MSC World Europa, this is one of the clearest dining changes: the more experimental Chef’s Garden Kitchen concept is replaced by a recognisable Italian restaurant brand with a very different style of dining.
What stands out to us
What stands out is not simply the number of new venues, but the increase in casual food available away from the traditional buffet.
Pan Asian On The Go, Promenade Bites and The Harbour Bar & Bites all give guests additional places to pick up food while using the ship’s public spaces, while Pan-Asian Street Food adds a completely new speciality restaurant and bar concept.
That could make MSC World Asia feel noticeably different from MSC World Europa when it comes to casual dining throughout the day — something we will be paying close attention to when we sail.

MSC World Asia cabins & suites
MSC World Asia offers a wide range of cabins and suites, from compact interiors and traditional ocean-view cabins to promenade balconies, Infinite Ocean View cabins and larger Aurea suites.
Yacht Club cabins are covered in the Yacht Club chapter.
The basic cabin structure will feel familiar to guests who know MSC World Europa or MSC World America, but the exact view, balcony type and location can make a big difference.
Some balconies face the sea, others overlook the World Promenade, while selected categories combine promenade and ocean views.
Use our cabin explorer below to compare the main non-Yacht Club cabin categories currently published for MSC World Asia, including approximate size, location, occupancy and what makes each category different.
MSC World Asia Yacht Club: suites, private spaces & what’s included
MSC Yacht Club is MSC Cruises’ “ship within a ship” concept, combining the scale and entertainment of MSC World Asia with a more private experience at the front of the ship.
On World Asia, the Yacht Club will span more than 9,900 m² and include 144 suites across seven categories, a private Top Sail Lounge and restaurant, a two-level sundeck, pool and outdoor Grill & Bar.
For anyone familiar with MSC World Europa, much of the concept will feel recognisable. We have sailed World Europa in Yacht Club ourselves, and its private lounge, restaurant and upper-deck areas provide a useful visual reference for what to expect from the World Class Yacht Club concept on World Asia.
MSC itself is currently using a Top Sail Lounge image “as seen on MSC World Europa” in its World Asia media material.
The biggest new accommodation feature is the MSC Yacht Club Royal Duplex Suite, a new two-level suite with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a private whirlpool balcony, designed for up to six guests.
We have sailed MSC Yacht Club in four classes
Our experience with MSC Yacht Club spans four different generations of MSC ships: Musica Class, Seaside Class, Meraviglia-Plus Class and World Class.
That gives us a broad first-hand perspective on how Yacht Club has evolved. The fundamentals remain familiar, with private lounges and dining, dedicated outdoor areas, butler service and priority benefits, but the scale, layout, suite selection and overall atmosphere can vary significantly between ship classes.
When we look at MSC World Asia, we are therefore not comparing it only with another World Class ship. We can also place its Yacht Club in the wider context of how MSC has developed the concept across its fleet.
MSC World Asia Yacht Club
Top Sail Lounge
The Top Sail Lounge is the social heart of MSC Yacht Club. Located at the forward end of the ship, it combines panoramic sea views with a quieter atmosphere than most of the public areas elsewhere on MSC World Asia.
Throughout the day it functions as a private lounge for Yacht Club guests, with drinks, coffee and light bites available, while the atmosphere changes in the evening with cocktails and live music.
-
Exclusive access for MSC Yacht Club guests
-
Panoramic forward-facing sea views
-
Complimentary premium drinks throughout the day
-
Craft cocktails
-
Fine wines
-
Beer
-
Soft drinks
-

-
Light bites / gourmet finger food
-
Light food available for much of the day
-

-
Evening live music
-
Hosted Yacht Club events and welcome cocktails
-
Comfortable lounge seating for relaxing during the day
-
Pre-dinner and after-dinner drinks
-
24/7 access to the lounge area
From our previous World Class Yacht Club experience, this is one of the spaces we tend to use most because it works equally well for a quiet morning coffee, a pre-dinner drink or simply somewhere to sit away from the busier parts of the ship.

MSC Yacht Club Restaurant
The private Yacht Club Restaurant is the main dining room for guests staying in MSC Yacht Club and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.

One of the advantages of Yacht Club is the flexibility around dining times. Rather than being tied to a traditional fixed seating, guests generally have much more freedom over when they choose to eat.
MSC Yacht Club Restaurant menus
Menus are examples from our previous MSC Yacht Club sailings and may differ aboard MSC World Asia.
MSC Yacht Club Grill & Bar
For a more relaxed meal, the Yacht Club Grill & Bar sits beside the private outdoor area and offers casual dining without having to leave Yacht Club.
It is particularly useful at breakfast and lunch when you want something quicker than the main restaurant, with grilled dishes, salads, lighter options and drinks available close to the pool and sundeck.
The layout on MSC World Asia appears to follow the newer World America design rather than the more open setup we experienced on MSC World Europa. The serving area looks more enclosed, potentially creating additional covered seating space. This is one of the details we want to compare properly once onboard.
-
Exclusive to MSC Yacht Club guests
-
Outdoor / poolside location on the Yacht Club sundeck
-
Breakfast service with a broad buffet-style selection
-
Casual lunch service
-
Freshly grilled specialities
-
Grilled meats

-
Food prepared close to the serving area, with some items cooked or finished to order
The Grill & Bar layout appears to follow the newer World America-style design, with a more enclosed serving area than we experienced on MSC World Europa. We’ll confirm the final food selection, opening hours and layout onboard.
Pictures from World Europa (Will be updated after sailing)
MSC Yacht Club Pool & Sundeck
The private sundeck is one of the biggest reasons to choose Yacht Club on a large World Class ship.
Instead of relying on the main pools shared by thousands of passengers, Yacht Club guests have their own outdoor area with a private pool, whirlpools, sun loungers and direct access to the Grill & Bar.
On MSC World Asia the Yacht Club outdoor area extends over two levels.
Pre-launch footage also shows new covered pavilion-style structures on the upper sundeck that are not present in the same form on MSC World Europa or World America.
They appear to provide additional shade and sheltered seating, although we will confirm their exact function once onboard.
-
Exclusive access for MSC Yacht Club guests
-
Private outdoor sundeck at the front of the ship
-
Private pool / dipping-pool area
-
Whirlpool bath
-
Sun loungers
-
Dedicated sunbathing areas
-
Sea views from the forward upper decks
-
Premium drinks available on the sundeck
-
Direct access to the MSC Yacht Club Grill & Bar
-
Outdoor bar service
-
Quieter atmosphere than the ship’s main pool decks
-
Shaded and covered seating areas
-
New pavilion-style covered structures visible on the World Asia upper sundeck
-
Convenient access to the Yacht Club’s other private venues
MSC’s current World Asia page specifically mentions a private solarium with whirlpool, dipping pools and premium drinks included. On World Class ships, MSC also describes the Yacht Club outdoor area as including the sundeck, pool, whirlpool, lounge space and Grill & Bar.
Pictures from World Europa (Will be updated after sailing)
MSC Yacht Club Concierge
The Yacht Club Concierge is available 24 hours a day and acts as the central point for many of the practical parts of the Yacht Club experience.
The concierge team can assist with restaurant reservations, entertainment, excursions and general questions during the cruise, while the butler team focuses more directly on the suite and personal service.
For us, this is one of the less visible but genuinely useful Yacht Club benefits. On a ship as large as MSC World Asia, having a dedicated team that can help organise reservations and solve problems without repeatedly visiting the main guest-services desk can make the overall experience considerably easier.

MSC Yacht Club La Brasserie – an additional Yacht Club dining option?
On MSC World Europa and MSC World America, Yacht Club guests have also been able to use La Brasserie for an exclusive evening dining experience.
At the moment, we expect a similar arrangement may be available on MSC World Asia, but we have not yet found clear final confirmation from MSC for the finished ship.
For now, we therefore consider Yacht Club dining at La Brasserie likely, but not confirmed. We will verify this during our sailing on 11 December 2026 and update this guide accordingly.
Pictures from World Europa (Will be updated after sailing)

One Yacht Club, several different experiences
What makes MSC Yacht Club interesting is that it is not simply a larger cabin or a private lounge.
The restaurant, Top Sail Lounge, outdoor Grill & Bar, sundeck, concierge and butler service work together as a separate experience inside a much larger resort-style ship.
Having sailed MSC Yacht Club across Musica Class, Seaside Class, Meraviglia-Plus Class and World Class, we have seen how much the physical product can vary while the basic concept remains the same.
MSC World Asia looks like another evolution rather than a completely different Yacht Club, and that is exactly what we will be looking for once onboard.
MSC World Asia restaurants & dining: what’s included and what costs extra
Dining is a major part of the World Class experience, and MSC World Asia will offer 19 dining venues ranging from traditional main dining rooms and large buffets to speciality restaurants and casual grab-and-go food.
MSC currently describes the ship as having six speciality restaurants, six main dining concepts, two large buffets, an exclusive MSC Yacht Club Restaurant and several fast-casual options.
What makes World Asia particularly interesting is not simply the number of restaurants.
Compared with MSC World Europa, there are more places to pick up food around the ship without returning to the buffet, while several speciality venues have also changed completely.
Dining at a glance
Included dining: main dining restaurants, Il Mercato Buffet, La Brasserie Buffet and Pizza & Burger-
Speciality dining: Pan-Asian Street Food, Eataly, Butcher’s Cut, Kaito Sushi Bar, Kaito Teppanyaki and HOLA! Tacos & Cantina-
Complimentary casual food: Pan Asian On The Go and a complimentary selection at The Harbour Bar & Bites- Mixed included / extra-charge items: Promenade Bites and parts of The Harbour Bar & Bites-
MSC Yacht Club: private Yacht Club Restaurant, Grill & Bar and Yacht Club La Brasserie is included for Yacht Club guests
MSC’s current World Asia page specifically lists Pizza & Burger as free of charge, while Promenade Bites and The Harbour Bar & Bites are marked as having some items included and some carrying a charge.
Main dining restaurants
The main dining rooms remain the more traditional sit-down option included in the cruise fare.
The World Class layout includes familiar venues such as Hexagon, Esagono, Bubbles, La Foglia and Les Dunes, with rotating menus built around Mediterranean, Italian and international dishes.
The exact restaurant assignment depends on the booked experience and sailing. Bella and Fantastica guests generally use assigned dining times, while Aurea guests have access to MSC’s more flexible My Choice Dining arrangement and using the Les Dunes restaurant.
For us, the main dining rooms are less about individual restaurant concepts and more about having a quieter, waiter-served alternative to the buffet. The menus normally change each evening, so this remains an important part of dining even on a ship with so many speciality restaurants.
Restaurant assignments, opening times and final World Asia dining arrangements will be verified once the ship enters service.
Il Mercato & La Brasserie buffets
MSC World Asia retains the two large buffet areas familiar from the earlier World Class ships: Il Mercato and La Brasserie.
Together they provide much of the ship’s everyday dining, with breakfast, lunch, dinner and late-night food available across the day. Expect the familiar MSC mix of pizza, pasta, salads, cooked dishes, desserts and international stations.
MSC currently markets the two buffet concepts as offering different atmospheres and extensive availability throughout the day.
The advantage of having two large buffet spaces becomes particularly noticeable on a ship carrying several thousand guests. We found this useful aboard MSC World Europa because you are not dependent on one enormous buffet room for every casual meal.
Pizza & Burger
Pizza & Burger remains one of the most useful complimentary casual venues aboard the World Class ships.
MSC describes it as an 80s-inspired diner serving freshly made pizza, burgers and other quick food, and currently lists the venue as free of charge on MSC World Asia.
This is also one of the places worth remembering later in the evening, when many of the more formal dining venues have closed.
Pan-Asian Street Food
Pan-Asian Street Food is the major new speciality restaurant exclusive to MSC World Asia.
The concept combines a paid speciality restaurant with a Southeast Asian-inspired bar and a separate complimentary On The Go counter.
The main restaurant is an extra-charge venue and will serve dishes inspired by street-food cultures across Southeast Asia, with indoor seating, live cooking and a casual rooftop terrace.
MSC has already confirmed examples such as Singapore-style prawns, shiitake mushroom fried rice and wok-fired specialities.
We cover the three-part Pan-Asian concept in more detail earlier in this guide.
Eataly
One of the biggest dining differences from MSC World Europa is the arrival of Eataly on Deck 8.
On World Europa, this area was occupied by Chef’s Garden Kitchen.
MSC World America introduced Eataly to World Class, and MSC’s own current World Asia preview now confirms that the Italian concept continues on MSC World Asia.
Expect the focus to be on Italian ingredients, fresh pasta and a more recognisable Italian restaurant experience than the experimental Chef’s Garden Kitchen it replaces.
For anyone who has sailed World Europa, this will be one of the speciality restaurants we are particularly interested in comparing.
Butcher’s Cut
Butcher’s Cut returns as MSC’s American-style steakhouse.
The menu focuses on premium cuts of beef alongside seafood, starters, traditional steakhouse sides and desserts.
MSC describes the venue as one of its established speciality-dining concepts and confirms it for MSC World Asia.
This is an extra-charge restaurant.
Kaito Sushi Bar
Kaito Sushi Bar returns with Japanese cuisine and freshly prepared sushi.
The smaller restaurant format gives it a very different atmosphere from the larger speciality venues and makes it particularly suitable for a lighter meal or sushi-focused dinner.
It is an extra-charge speciality restaurant.
Kaito Teppanyaki
Next to the Sushi Bar, Kaito Teppanyaki combines dinner with the familiar teppanyaki show format.
Guests sit around cooking stations while the chefs prepare the meal directly in front of them.
MSC confirms four cooking stations for the World Asia venue.
This is also an extra-charge speciality experience and reservations are advisable.
HOLA! Tacos & Cantina
HOLA! Tacos & Cantina brings back MSC’s casual Latin American and Mexican-inspired speciality concept.
The menu includes dishes designed for sharing, with options such as tacos, nachos, empanadas and tamales, alongside tequila, mezcal and Mexican-inspired cocktails.
MSC currently lists HOLA! as an à-la-carte venue with additional charges.
We have tried HOLA! on several MSC ships, and although the concept is familiar, the quality can vary between ships — another restaurant we will revisit aboard World Asia.
Pan Asian On The Go
The complimentary Pan Asian On The Go counter is separate from the paid Pan-Asian speciality restaurant.
MSC confirms that guests will be able to pick up free street-food bites during the day, with examples including crispy seafood balls and fluffy bao buns.
This is one of the additions we think could make a real practical difference compared with World Europa: you can try part of the new Pan-Asian concept without booking or paying for the restaurant.
The Harbour Bar & Bites
Located inside The Harbour family district, The Harbour Bar & Bites provides casual food without having to leave the outdoor activity area.
MSC describes the offering as including complimentary fast-casual favourites such as empanadas, wraps and corn dogs, along with sweet options including cookies, brownies and ice cream.
Its current consumer page notes that some items are complimentary while others may carry a charge.
For families spending several hours around The Harbour, this should be considerably more convenient than returning to the main buffet for lunch.
Promenade Bites
Promenade Bites sits directly on the World Promenade and continues the quick-service concept introduced aboard MSC World America.
MSC currently mentions hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy and other light bites. Unlike Pizza & Burger, however, MSC labels Promenade Bites as a venue where some items are included and others cost extra.
That distinction is worth knowing before sailing — it should not simply be described as an entirely complimentary venue.
MSC Yacht Club dining
MSC Yacht Club guests have their own private dining ecosystem, including the MSC Yacht Club Restaurant and outdoor Yacht Club Grill & Bar.
The Yacht Club Restaurant is included for Yacht Club guests and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, while the Grill & Bar provides more relaxed poolside dining.
We cover Yacht Club dining, sample menus and the possibility of an additional Yacht Club evening experience at La Brasserie separately in the Yacht Club section above.
Our take on MSC World Asia dining
The biggest change from MSC World Europa may not be one individual restaurant.
World Asia appears to offer more different ways to eat casually around the ship.
Pizza & Burger, Pan Asian On The Go, Promenade Bites and The Harbour Bar & Bites mean guests have more options to grab food where they already are rather than repeatedly returning to Il Mercato or La Brasserie.
At the same time, the speciality line-up has changed noticeably. Eataly replaces Chef’s Garden Kitchen, while Pan-Asian Street Food replaces the seafood-focused La Pescaderia concept, giving Deck 8 a very different dining identity.
We will update this section after our sailing on 11 December 2026 with final menus, opening hours, prices and — most importantly — which restaurants we actually think are worth booking.
MSC World Asia bars & lounges
MSC World Asia combines familiar World Class favourites with several completely new bar concepts. Rather than simply adding more places to order the same drink, MSC has given many venues a clearer identity — from Italian aperitivo and Southeast Asian cocktails to theatrical mixology and build-your-own sodas.
Five bar concepts are completely new for MSC World Asia: Sky Box Bar, The Terraces Bar & Lounge, Coral Cove Bar, Pan Asian Bar and Clubhouse & Soda Bar. Returning favourites include Coffee Emporium, Fizz – Champagne Bar, All-Stars Sports Bar and Masters of the Sea.
Sky Box Bar
Located inside the redesigned Luna Park Arena, Sky Box Bar is one of the most interesting new additions on MSC World Asia.
Rather than functioning as a conventional entertainment-venue bar, it is designed as a more intimate and sophisticated space inspired by early 20th-century Futurism. The cocktail menu will reinterpret classic drinks with contemporary twists, while bartenders add an element of mixology theatre as drinks are prepared.
The idea is for Sky Box to work both as a pre-show aperitif venue and as a late-night cocktail bar once Luna Park becomes more energetic.
What to expect:
-
Premium spirits
-
Classic cocktails with modern twists
-
Theatrical bartending
-
Pre-show drinks
-
Late-night cocktails
-
A more intimate atmosphere within Luna Park
The Terraces Bar & Lounge
The Terraces Bar & Lounge brings a distinctly Italian aperitivo concept to MSC World Asia.
With panoramic sea views and an outdoor terrace, the venue will serve classic drinks such as Negroni and Aperol Spritz, alongside wines, prosecco and other aperitivo-style drinks.
Drinks are complemented by simple Italian bites including focaccia and olives.

The cocktail menu follows the Southeast Asian theme of the restaurant, with confirmed drinks including:
-
Jasmine Mojito
-
Rose & Strawberry Daiquiri

Matcha Colada
-
Tsingtao beer
-
Chang beer
-

Clubhouse & Soda Bar
The new Clubhouse & Soda Bar is designed to change character throughout the day.
During the day it is family-focused, with games, interactive digital tables, LEGO activities and The Court nearby.
The Soda Bar allows guests to create their own non-alcoholic drinks by choosing a soda base and then adding cream, flavoured syrups and toppings.
In the evening, the space evolves into more of a social venue with both cocktails and mocktails available.
What to expect:
-
Customisable sodas
-
Flavoured syrups
-
Cream and toppings
-
Mocktails
-
Cocktails in the evening

Classic cocktails
-
Beer
-
Wine
-
Soft drinks
-
Indoor all-weather setting
-
Direct access to Coral Cove Pool

-
Beer
-
Wine
-
Soft drinks

Coffee Emporium
Coffee Emporium returns on MSC World Asia and remains one of the most distinctive venues for coffee lovers.
The concept is built around premium coffees and different blends, giving guests a more dedicated coffee experience than simply ordering from a general bar.
Having used Coffee Emporium on MSC World Europa ourselves, we see it as much more than somewhere to grab a quick coffee. It is one of the easier places to slow down during the day and a useful alternative to the busier bars around the World Galleria.
What to expect:
-
Espresso
-
Cappuccino
-
Latte
-
Speciality coffee drinks
-
Different coffee blends
-
Premium coffee experience
-
Relaxed daytime atmosphere
Fizz – Champagne Bar
Fizz – Champagne Bar also returns.
The focus is champagne, sparkling wines and champagne-based cocktails, giving it a noticeably different atmosphere from the ship’s more general cocktail bars.
For guests who know MSC World Europa, this should be one of the more familiar World Class venues.
What to expect:
-
Champagne
-
Sparkling wine
-
Champagne cocktails
-
Premium wines
-
Pre-dinner drinks
-
More refined lounge atmosphere
All-Stars Sports Bar
First introduced on MSC World America, All-Stars Sports Bar now comes to World Asia.
The venue combines large screens with interactive games and an outdoor sea-facing terrace. It is designed as a gameday-style social venue rather than simply a bar showing sport.
For anyone coming from MSC World Europa, this replaces the more conventional Lanai Bar concept in this part of the World Promenade.
What to expect:
-
Live sports
-
Large screens
-
Interactive games
-
Beer
-
Cocktails
-
Casual bar food
-
Outdoor terrace
-
Social gameday atmosphere
Masters of the Sea
Masters of the Sea returns as MSC’s traditional pub-style venue.
Alongside a broad beer selection, World Asia will continue the World Class feature of beer brewed onboard the ship.
It remains one of the more casual evening venues and provides a very different atmosphere from Fizz, The Terraces or Sky Box.
What to expect:
-
Draught beer
-
Bottled beer
-
Beer brewed onboard
-
Spirits
-
Pub-style atmosphere
-
Casual evening venue
-
Live entertainment on selected evenings
Dolce Vita Bar
Dolce Vita Bar returns as one of the ship’s more traditional cocktail and aperitivo venues.

This is the more conventional central cocktail-bar experience and a useful contrast to some of World Asia’s more heavily themed new venues.

-
Aperitifs
-
Classic cocktails
-
Signature cocktails
-
Wine
-
Spirits
-
Central social atmosphere

Smoothies
-
Power shakes

Panorama Lounge
Panorama Lounge is not new to World Class, but it deserves inclusion because it works as both an entertainment venue and a lounge.
During the day, the two-level aft venue offers panoramic sea views, activities, acoustic performances and a large dance floor.
In the evening it changes into a cocktail and entertainment space.
World Asia will introduce new entertainment here, including Sunset Symphonic, combining orchestral music, live singers, musicians, choreography and aerial performance.
What to expect:
-
Panoramic aft views
-
Cocktails
-
Live music
-
Acoustic performances
-
Large dance floor
-
Evening entertainment
-
Production shows
-
Social late-night atmosphere
Our take on the bar changes
The biggest difference on MSC World Asia is that several bars now feel tied to a specific reason to visit them.
The Terraces is built around aperitivo and wine. Sky Box adds theatrical mixology. Pan Asian Bar connects cocktails directly with the ship’s new Southeast Asian dining concept. Soda Bar is playful and family-oriented, while Coral Cove and Pearl Lagoon give the redesigned pool areas their own identities.
That should make the bar programme feel more varied than simply choosing between different locations serving broadly the same drinks.
MSC World Asia pools, family activities & entertainment
MSC World Asia continues the large-scale resort feel of the World Class ships, with multiple pools, extensive family facilities and entertainment spread across several decks.
Some areas will feel familiar to guests who know MSC World Europa, while others have evolved considerably through MSC World America and now World Asia. The biggest changes are concentrated around the Aqua Deck, The Harbour, The Clubhouse and Luna Park Arena.
Manila Bay Pool
The main outdoor pool area on MSC World Asia is called Manila Bay Pool.
This is the evolution of La Plage on MSC World Europa and Mar Azul on MSC World America, with a new identity and redesigned pool deck for World Asia.
The area is designed as one of the ship’s main daytime gathering points, with a large central pool, sun loungers, shaded seating and nearby food and drink.
What to expect:
-
Large outdoor swimming pool
-
Sun loungers
-
Shaded seating
-
Poolside drinks
-
Pearl Lagoon Bar
-
Casual food nearby
-
Daytime activities
-
Music and entertainment
-
Large open-air pool deck
Coral Cove Pool
Coral Cove Pool is MSC World Asia’s redesigned indoor pool.
Located beneath a retractable glass roof, it provides an all-weather swimming area that can be used even when conditions outside are less favourable.
The space replaces the Botanic Garden Pool identity found on MSC World Europa and World America and introduces a new design inspired by coral reefs and the colours of the Philippines.
What to expect:
-
Indoor swimming pool
-
Retractable glass roof
-
All-weather swimming
-
Sun loungers
-
Seating around the pool
-
Coral Cove Bar
-
Natural light
-
More sheltered atmosphere than the main outdoor pool
Zen Pool
The Zen Pool area remains one of the quieter outdoor alternatives on MSC World Asia.
Located towards the aft section of the upper decks, it provides another place to swim and relax away from the main pool environment.
For guests familiar with MSC World Europa, this should feel considerably more familiar than Manila Bay or Coral Cove.
What to expect:
-
Outdoor pool
-
Sun loungers
-
Sea views
-
Zen Bar nearby
-
Quieter atmosphere
-
Alternative to the main Aqua Deck
The Harbour
The Harbour is one of the biggest differences between MSC World Asia and MSC World Europa.
MSC World America introduced the concept as a dedicated outdoor family district, and World Asia develops it further with a new Asian-inspired design and additional areas for both daytime and evening use.
Rather than being a single attraction, The Harbour combines water activities, adventure attractions, food, seating and family entertainment in one outdoor neighbourhood.
Cliffhanger
Cliffhanger is the over-water swing attraction first introduced aboard MSC World America and retained on MSC World Asia.
Guests swing out beyond the side of the ship, high above the ocean, creating one of the most unusual attractions on the World Class ships.
For anyone coming from MSC World Europa, this is a major physical change. The area used for Cliffhanger was previously occupied by a large whirlpool section.
What to expect:
-
Over-water swing attraction
-
Elevated position above the sea
-
Individual ride experience
-
Part of The Harbour
-
One of the ship’s signature attractions
Adventure Trail High Ropes Course
MSC World Asia also features the Adventure Trail High Ropes Course.
The concept was first introduced on MSC World America and continues as part of The Harbour on World Asia.
Guests navigate obstacles above the deck, creating a more active outdoor experience than the traditional pool and waterpark facilities.
What to expect:
-
Multi-level ropes course
-
Elevated obstacles
-
Adventure elements
-
Family-friendly challenge
-
Part of The Harbour outdoor district
The Harbour Aquapark
The upper decks also contain the ship’s large waterpark.
The aquapark continues the World Class combination of waterslides, splash areas and family water play, integrated into the wider Harbour district.
For younger children, the splash and water-play areas provide an alternative to the larger slides and adventure attractions.
What to expect:
-
Multiple waterslides
-
Family water attractions
-
Splash areas
-
Water play for younger children
-
Outdoor activity zone
-
Direct connection with The Harbour
The Play Deck
New for MSC World Asia is The Play Deck, a more relaxed outdoor family area within The Harbour.
Rather than focusing on large thrill attractions, the space is intended to give families somewhere to sit, play and spend time together between the more active parts of the district.
This should make The Harbour work as more than simply a collection of rides.
The Spiral @ Tree of Life
One of the most visible features of MSC World Asia is The Spiral @ Tree of Life.
The dry slide begins from an elevated structure above The Harbour and descends through 12 decks to the World Promenade below.
At approximately 81.3 metres / 266.7 feet long, it is the World Asia evolution of The Venom Drop on MSC World Europa and Jaw Drop on MSC World America.
The Tree of Life structure gives the attraction a completely new visual identity and raises the starting platform above the main Harbour deck.
Doremiland Kids Club
MSC World Asia retains the large Doremiland children’s area on Deck 19, with more than 1,000 m² dedicated to children and teenagers.
The general location is familiar from the earlier World Class ships, but World Asia introduces new themed spaces, technology and activities.
LEGO experiences
World Asia expands MSC’s partnership with LEGO through new themed rooms and family activities.
The ship includes two new LEGO environments, with themes inspired by Asian landmarks and culture and Formula 1.
LEGO activities are also integrated into The Clubhouse and other family programming around the ship.
What to expect:
-
Dedicated LEGO rooms
-
LEGO Family Zone
-
Asian-inspired LEGO themes
-
Formula 1 LEGO theme
-
Family LEGO activities
-
LEGO Parade programming
Baby, junior & teen clubs
The children’s programme is divided into age-specific areas rather than placing every child in the same club.
Facilities include dedicated spaces for babies, younger children, juniors and teenagers.
The Baby Club continues MSC’s partnership with Chicco, while older children have access to gaming, social spaces and organised activities.
Gaming & Formula Racer
World Asia expands the gaming side of the family offering with arcade experiences, interactive technology and the MSC Formula Racer simulator.
These areas are designed to give older children and teenagers something to do beyond the traditional kids club.
The Clubhouse
One of the clearest new family concepts on MSC World Asia is The Clubhouse on Deck 20.
It replaces the more traditional SportPlex and Box Bar arrangement found on MSC World Europa and World America with a flexible family and social venue.
During the day, the space focuses on activities and games. In the evening, it can transition into a more social entertainment area.
The Clubhouse includes:
-
The Court
-
Bumper cars
-
LEGO Family Zone
-
Classic table games
-
Interactive digital games
-
Family activities
-
Soda Bar
-
Customisable soft drinks
-
Evening cocktails and mocktails
-
Social lounge atmosphere
Luna Park Arena
Luna Park Arena returns on MSC World Asia but receives a substantial redesign.
The multi-purpose entertainment space now features a new entrance, immersive LED surfaces, ceiling projections, dynamic lighting and a more theatrical interior layout.
The new Sky Box Bar is also integrated into the Luna Park experience.
During the cruise, Luna Park can be used for different types of entertainment rather than functioning as a traditional theatre.
What to expect:
-
Game shows
-
Interactive entertainment
-
Live events
-
Parties
-
Youth events
-
Nightclub-style programming
-
Immersive lighting
-
LED surfaces
-
Sky Box Bar
World Theatre
The World Theatre remains the ship’s main large-scale theatre.
This is where guests can expect MSC’s largest stage productions, combining singers, dancers, choreography, lighting and large-scale production design.
The theatre provides a more traditional cruise-show experience than Luna Park or Panorama Lounge.
Panorama Lounge
The two-level Panorama Lounge at the aft of the ship combines panoramic sea views with live entertainment.
During the day it can host activities and acoustic performances, while evenings bring live music, dancing and larger productions.
MSC World Asia introduces new entertainment here, including Sunset Symphonic, combining orchestral music with live singers, musicians, choreography and aerial performance.
What to expect:
-
Panoramic aft views
-
Live music
-
Acoustic performances
-
Dance floor
-
Cocktails
-
Evening shows
-
Aerial performance
-
Late-night entertainment
Live music around the ship
Entertainment on World Asia is not limited to the large theatres.
Live musicians, DJs, pianists and smaller performances will appear across lounges and bars throughout the ship.
Venues such as Panorama Lounge, The Terraces, Masters of the Sea and other lounges can therefore feel very different depending on the time of day.
Our take on the family & entertainment changes
This is one of the areas where the evolution from MSC World Europa becomes particularly noticeable.
World Europa already offered an enormous amount of entertainment, but World America changed the upper decks significantly by introducing The Harbour, Cliffhanger and the ropes course.
MSC World Asia keeps many of those improvements and then adds another layer of its own: The Play Deck, The Clubhouse, redesigned Luna Park, Tree of Life, new LEGO environments and updated family programming.
The result appears to be a ship where the family areas are less isolated from the rest of the experience. Food, drinks, games, water attractions and evening entertainment are increasingly combined into the same districts rather than existing as separate facilities.
Where will MSC World Asia sail?
Despite the name, MSC World Asia will not begin its career in Asia. Its first seasons are firmly based in the Western Mediterranean, where the ship will operate seven-night cruises from December 2026.
Winter 2026/27
During its first winter season, MSC World Asia will sail a repeating seven-night Mediterranean itinerary calling at:
-
Barcelona, Spain
-
Marseille, France
-
Genoa, Italy
-
Civitavecchia for Rome, Italy
-
Messina, Sicily
-
Valletta, Malta
MSC allows guests to embark in each of these ports, giving the itinerary considerably more flexibility than a traditional single-homeport cruise.
The ship’s first passenger sailing is scheduled to depart Barcelona on 4 December 2026

Summer 2027
For summer 2027, MSC World Asia will remain in the Mediterranean but the itinerary changes slightly.
The seven-night route is scheduled to visit:
-
Barcelona, Spain
-
Marseille, France
-
Genoa, Italy
-
Naples, Italy
-
Messina, Sicily
-
Valletta, Malta
The main difference is that Naples replaces Civitavecchia for Rome during the summer season.
Why is MSC World Asia sailing in Europe?
The name MSC World Asia refers to the ship’s place within MSC Cruises’ World Class series rather than where the ship must operate.
World Class ships are named after continents as part of MSC’s wider global identity. World Asia itself incorporates design elements inspired by Asian culture, art and landscapes, while its initial deployment remains in one of MSC Cruises’ most important regions: the Mediterranean. MSC Press Area
So if you are searching for an MSC World Asia cruise in Asia, the important thing to know is that the ship’s currently announced 2026/27 deployment is in Europe.
